LeidenGlobal welcomes Eline Raukema, who will also be finishing her Masters degrees in East Asian Studies this year. The interns are indispensable for the LeidenGlobal office and help out with online communication, writing texts, organising and promoting activities. Eline introduces herself:
Hi there!
I’m Eline, 23 years old and currently pursuing my master’s degree in East Asian Studies at Leiden University, specialising in China. This summer, I also travelled all the way from North to South China, practised my Mandarin skills and met many great people. During my bachelor’s degree I’ve also had the opportunity to live and study in Taipei for a year. Needless to say, I’m very passionate about different cultures and excited to get started at LeidenGlobal.
I have always been amazed by the available expertise this city has to offer in terms of regional and cultural studies. I look forward to making this more visible and connecting people with each other. Besides, I’m also curious to learn more about different organisations and events happening in Leiden.
In my free time I like drinking tea, reading books, travelling and cooking vegan food.
